seperating audio from clip when dragging to rimeline

i want to drag a clip from the bin into the timeline but leave the audio behind.

April 9, 2010 at 12:31 pmTake a look at the manual regarding track assignments. You just disconnect and turn off the tracks you don’t want in the patch panel.
Non-linear: all the time and nothing but.

April 9, 2010 at 5:04 pmIn other words, disconnect the audio tracks by clicking on the icons at the left side of the track so they do not connect. Then your audio will not come down to the timeline with the video.

April 10, 2010 at 4:55 pmDo not drag your clips directly from the Browser, load it into the Viewer first. That way, the proper patch buttons will show up in the timeline. Once you see those, merely disconnect the button for V1, then set the buttons for the track where you want audio to be placed.
ONLY THEN, should you drag and drop!
