Hi Jim,
The model number is listed as CO-PCB. If you go to their web site and click on “cameras – video” on the left colume and then on “carry on” on the next page near the middle you will find it. I have used is many times on flights that include the Airbus A-330, A319, A320, Boeing 737 and had no problems. I should also add that I connect my laptop with a 24 inch Dell monitor and bluetooth keyboard and mouse at home. Also, I use LaCie Rugged drives on the road and then plug in an esata Caldigit VR at home. Buy what you can afford and don’t worry about wheather full time working pros are doing it. They are few and far between when you consider all the part timers out there that are just trying to get work and doing there jobs very well.

I don not agree with the above post. I use a MacBook Pro exclusively and have never been sorry. There may be times that having both desktop and laptop would be better but who has that kind of money? I edit with FCS3 and use external hard drives. Not a problem at all.

I’m not sure this would work but have you tried copying your profile from the EX-3 to an SxS card and then saving it to the 350?

I don’t see anything in the upgrade that excites me. I have always loved the handgrip on my EX-3. This upgrade seems pretty boring to me. Yawwwwnnnnnnnn!

The fastest way to setup your sequence is to just drag a clip to the timeline. You will get a message asking if you want FCP to change the timeline settings to match your footage. Just say yes and it will make it match your footage. That way you don’t have any chance of choosing the wrong format in easy setup. Good luck.

No, do not delete your clips! FCP is just referring to the master clip on the drive. It is not duplicating it. Clips in the FCP browser are just reading from the master clip. If you delete the clip in the browser the clip itself stays on the hard drive.

Select your clips you want and then hold down the Command or Option key (Cant remember which one. It may even be the shift key). Then the import button on the bottom right will change to “import selected”.
