I’ve tried that, but if it still follows every little movement I make on the way to point B – maybe too much coffee causes my mouse to do what it does (sometimes I believe it is self-aware).

Maybe I need to explain. After I’m done editing, I render as an avi and give it to our closed captioning guy who puts it on a DVC pro tape. My question is whether there is a way to set parameters?

Is there a way to use the track/motion tool and limit it to one clip or is it only for the whole track?

Thank you for the feedback. The concern I have, however, is that when you use track/motion, the whole track is changed, not just a single clip in that track. Does that make sense?
