Weird box in timelines
For some reason, there is a small square box that is showing up on my video timelines. It’s invisible until you put a graphic or video over it and it shows up.
Any thoughts?

My guess is that you clicked somewhere in the Preview window and activated it.
Disable the Split Screen View (the icon that looks lke a shaded circle above the Preview window) and see if that helps. -

I know this problem quite well as the exact same thing happened to a friend of mine a while ago and I went crazy for a day trying to figure out what was wrong.
