Place the Fill layer at the top of your Timeline layer stack and switch on its Preserve Underlying Transparency switch – it’s the T switch in the Modes section of the Timeline.

Hmmmm … it’s a basic copy-paste of keyframes. What exactly are you having issues with? Which part of the copy-paste process is not working? Or is it a case of the result not working as expected.

FWIW, the proxy that you use should have transform attributes that are identical to the PNG. You use the proxy in Newton. Once you’ve applied the results in Newton, you copy the transform attributes of the proxy onto your PNG file.

When morphing, it is ideal that the start and end shapes have the same number of vertices. This often results in a more intuitive process as it helps you to align vertices more accurately when tweaking the result.

The First Vertex has TWO visual cues. When a Shape Layer is selected via the Direct Selection method – CTRL+click, the First Vertex appears with a ring around it. However, when a Shape Layer’s path is selected by selecting the Path property in the Timeline, the First Vertex appears with an additional square around it.

Use a Shape Layer or a Masked Solid as proxies. Then either link the Newton results to the PNG or apply a copy-paste routine. Hmmm, then again, you probably knew that.

There is no way to set the default Line Cap/Join attributes of a Shape Layer.

You can however copy attributes from one Shape onto other shapes. You can do this productively by –
(1) selecting the source attribute(s) and copying
(2) select target attributes and then paste

To speed up (2), use the Timeline’s Search box to type in your keyword – Line for your specific case. Select the layers you want to be part of the search (not necessary if you want to search across all layers in the Timeline) and then type your keyword. Then manually select the attributes and paste.

All of AE’s Brush Tools are applied in the Layer Panel; not the Composition Panel. You can read the documentation for all the effects under the Help Menu in AE – select Effect Reference.

You’ll have to fix it manually and end up with an additional keyframe – that’s how it is with most morphs.

I’ve downloaded the AEP and things look as they should. If you switch on the 3D switch for ALL your menu items, you will notice that their respective axis arrows are oriented relative to the camera.

Sorry but I don’t see any issue. Perhaps you can better describe what you mean by “off again”. What values are you adjusting? What is the outcome? What is your expected outcome?
