There could be an orientation or rotation value that is not set to their default values. Check on this. Also, try converting the text to editable text – do this by selecting the layer and choosing Layer>Convert to Editable Text – see if this helps.

I would also just try animating the X-rotation to see if it looks fine, regardless of the 3D axis arrows.

Alternatively, you can upload your AEP for myself or someone else to take a look.

Use one of the View Axis modes which more often than not will set your 3D axes to align itself to a more friendly setting.

The View Axis Modes are to the immediate right of the Puppet Tool.

Pay particular attention to the use of a Flow Map which dictates the confines of particles created by Foam.

mochaImport+ does the heavy-lifting and adds productivity gain AFTER you have completed your tracking. Your friend doesn’t need the plugin if the tracking and mochaImport+ stuff is done on your machine.

It’s like that this is an (1) AE-to-QuickTime or (2) a QuickTime issue. Have you tried rendering to AVI in AE or use another application to compile the image sequence into an mov?

Text Layer, Screen Caps (Images) are all permissible. Just ensure that they are each ONE FRAME in duration so that they correspond to a single PAGE.

What I was trying to do with such a setup was to create multi-page documentation that is part of the AEP. The 1 FPS comp helps to push the page metaphor further. Hence, your input/guide/text/images should adhere to this metaphor.

mocha’s workflow for tracking an area with foreground occlusion is as follows –

1) track the foreground object

2) un-check tracking (gear icon) for the foreground object (otherwise mocha will re-track it again in the next step

3) ENSURE THAT THE FOREGROUND OBJECT/LAYER IS AT THE VERY TOP OF THE MOCHA LAYER STACK. Then track the background object
