With JPEG, your color work will be compromised. It’s best to work with the same color fidelity as the final files. I suggest that you instead work with proxies, which are a smaller or lower resolution (pixel-wise) relative to the final files. Having said that, since you only have a small number of frames, you might as well just go ahead and work with the final files, from the very start. I doubt that your system will be greatly troubled by RAM previewing 40 frames. As and when required; when RAM Preview fails to render the entire Work Area, you can always reduce the comp resolution and zoom values.

I have no idea on anything specific for CS6/CC but we do know that there is a bottleneck in the pipeline. With respect to Amortype 2.0, the bottleneck has to do with the script having to look ahead for the outpoint. Otherwise, it performs at an acceptable speed. I should add a caveat that I’m only guessing on this. Dan Ebberts, at the COW’s AE Expression Forum should have a better idea.

Amortype works faster if your Text Layer is 2D. I may have a fast alternative but it depends on what you use Amortype for AND you will need to set your own out-point keyframes.

Hi Prem, check the following likely causes –
1) frame rate of the clip in mocha and AE must be identical
2) pixel aspect ratio of the clip in mocha and AE must be identical
3) duration of the clip in mocha and AE must be identical
4) ensure that you pasted the tracking data in AE at the frame where your clip’s in points is in mocha
5) ensure that your insert clip’s dimensions are identical those of the tracking clip

If the issue continues, then try exporting the other Corner Pin (CP) tracking data – there are two types of CP that you can export from mocha to AE.

No step-by-step (it’s busy over here) – but it’s probably done with the built-in Vegas effect or Trapcode 3D Stroke and perhaps even Trapcode Shine. You won’t be far if you look at tutorials that mimic the Tron look.

Did you use RotoBrush or old-school masking to do your rotoscoping? If it’s RotoBrush then ensure that you Freeze completed frames – hmmm, freeze-d frames or otherwise, RotoBrush data is contained within the AEP – similarly for masking.

There’s a strong likelihood that something else is amiss. It could be your system, it could be the one at school.

Try sending the existing AEP to a friend to see if they have a similar issue. Look at other avenues to troubleshoot and if still failing, come back with more details.
