Hi,
The render file name is part of the project data, and either you export the XML, or you save the project, before you load the next project. Else the exported XMLs won’t carry the new file name for the render when you reload the project.
When you use multiple projects in the render queue, it will have to skip over projects without saving them, and hence the Batch Render is disabled in the FCP mode.
For the moment, it’s best to export the XML after rendering one project.

August 1, 2011 at 10:52 am in reply to: “The clip XXX cannot be linked to.. because reels doesen´t match”…. what?It seems the the reel/tape numbers from the XML and the method you are using to extract them from the media don’t match.
Try switch off the reel number completely by switching off the “Assist using reel numbers from the:”

Hi,
If you are using OSX 10.6.8, please remember to install the Q4000 driver for OSX, and also install CUDA 4.0.19/4.0.21.
For the 2008 Mac Pro, you can set the video monitoring to 8-bit to get better playback.

Hi Samir,
What OSX version are you using?
If you are using OSX 10.6.8/10.7.0 (Lion), you will need to update CUDA to 4.0.19/4.0.21 from the NVIDIA website.
If this doesn’t help please send us logs, and we will take a look. You can capture the logs using the following application:
/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/CaptureLogs.app

Hi James,
This GPU – “ATI Radeon HD 4850” is currently not supported. You should have got a warning at startup. There are several known OpenCL issues with the ATI 4xxx GPUs.
Please refer to our Mac configuration guide for details on the supported platforms and GPUs.

Yes – you can use any of the options there depending on the source media. If you are using Red, you can use “Embedding in Source files”. For Red, this uses the filename of the R3D file without the _001 as the tape name.
It is important to enable this before rendering, else Avid Media Tool won’t pick up the MXF file.

Hi Dave,
Please make sure the reel number support in Resolve is enabled (in the config page), else Resolve renders here files with no reel/tape information, and Avid doesn’t like these MXF files.

Hi Mario,
To get rid of the Postgreql user showing on the Login page, you can type this command on the terminal:
sudo dscl . -delete /Users/postgres AuthenticationAuthority
After you press enter, you will be prompted for your password, and that’s it.
This will done automatically in the next update, but I presume you don’t want to wait for the next update.
