With the Pro, you should be able to run what you want. I think it’s listed in our configuration guide.

Also V9 has support to get better performance with a single GUI/CUDA card so that might free up a full speed slot as well.

The S4 (4 x 5800) is a 2008/2009 configuration. The newer systems with faster GPUs are a lot faster of course.

If you don’t have a SDI card configured, system audio is used. When SDI card is used, audio goes out through SDI as well.

Basically, you can’t say I want video out through SDI, and audio out through internal or vice-versa.

Just using a single PC GTX 570 (for both CUDA and GUI) on a 2010 Mac Pro. Using Decklink 3D+ for SDI monitoring.

V9 gives me 11 nodes of blur.

Please note than V9 has a new option to optimize GPU performance for system with a single GPU both for running GUI and CUDA processing.

On Linux, just edit the /etc/fstab file to mount at the /Volumes/xyz

Remember to make the mount points first using mkdir command on Linux first.

  • Which version of Resolve software are you using?

Can you also provide some details about which exact codec and frame rate (DF/NDF) are the files which don’t work.

    Thanks,
    Rohit

We recommend using /Volumes/xyz as mount point to keep it consistent with Mac OS X.

  • This looks correct to me. 1 580 = 2 x 285 approx.

Just get another 580 and you’ll have double the performance.

  • Yes, you should be able to export ProRes clips as MXF/DNxHD.

It’s making a physical copy of the Red file – just the extents used in your edit, plus handles if you want them. It’s a fairly fast process since it’s working on the Red compressed data directly.
