Just use the one we say – it should work for both Quadro and GeForce.

Having said that, even the 3xx drivers seem to work alright, so if you are using any of the newer Geforce 6xx cards, you might need that.

We recommend using a USB 3 I/O card on that motherboard I think. Be careful where to place the cards as the speed of the PCI slots can drop if you populate other slots.

I think one of the slots in independent (after using the two PCI-E x16 slots for GUI and CUDA GPU), so you can use that for Rocket.

Refer to the motherboard manual for more details!

Did you do a Time Machine Restore by any chance? It doesn’t migrate the database server installation across properly.

You need to completely uninstall the database, and re-install Resolve. If you want to migrate your old projects, backup from old Mac, and restore on new Mac.

Based on our initial results, on both Windows and Linux, the 680s (Gigabyte OC version), and the 580s are both running with fairly similar performance.

    Hi Mike,

What sort of issues are you running into if you export an FCP7 XML and import into Resolve?

If you could send us your XML, and Resolve project, any screenshots, etc. at our help address – davincihelp (at) blackmagic-design.com, we’d like to sort it out for you.

    Regards,
    Rohit

The results from After Effects are not representative of performance you’ll get with Resolve.

We are running extensive tests with the 680 cards, and we hope to have some guidance on this soon. It’s looking good so far!

  • Did you update the firmware?

    Hi,

If you export your project, and send it over to davincihelp (at) blackmagic-design.com, we’ll take a quick look.

Have you compared the reel number and timecode extents as shown in the EDL window (for the AAF), and the media clip?

    Rohit
