Version 9 has support for DNxHD in a Quicktime wrapper, and hopefully that will help this workflow.

Please ignore the warning. When you get the V9 update, that warning will go away.
For the rMBP, you need to do a couple of things for now:
1. Switch off the option to “Automatically switch graphics” in the Energy Saver (as CUDA won’t work otherwise always)
2. Set the display scaling to 1440×900, and then back to 1920×1200 before you start Resolve (you need to do this if you get out of memory errors)Regards,

Well it’s two different things, XML, AAF, EDL are files which describe your edit.
DPX, Quicktime, MXF, etc. are file format which store your video and audio.

If you not using FCP or Avid, then you will have to export in a FCP XML compatible format. Some other NLEs support this mode.

You can export a XML (from FCP 7 and X), and AAF from Avid Media Composer to bring across the speed ramps into Resolve V9.

You can also wait for V9 as that has an option which provides much better performance with a single GPU.

The Quadro FX 3800 should work just fine.

I believe Premiere 5.5.1 or 5.5.2 had some fixes for XML round-trip with Resolve. If you could update to that, you should be ok.
