>>In the past few weeks I had major hiccups with Davinci 9, I always sent an email to davincihelp at blackmagic-design, but I never got a reply.
The only email I found was your Tangent email below, and we just responded to that. You can’t have both two versions on the same machine at the same time – it’s not supported and not recommended.
>>Davinci 9 doesn’t allow me to use Render Cache on R3D porjects, because it jumps to Full Range output on the render cached clips.
Please make sure you are not using the “Optimized monitoring” in the “Video monitoring” section. Render cache is not supported in video range mode when using this option currently. We hope to support this in the future, but for the moment, you will have to switch off your optimized video monitoring option.

What is your CPU configuration of your Mac Pro4,1. Do you still see this issue with the 9.1.1 update. I suspect the GT120 card could be the bottleneck. What if you remove that, and only use for your 570.

Are you on 9.1.1?
Please provide some more details. Are you used Mixed FPS clips? Did you have Mixed FPS turned on in Resolve when importing the XML?

I just checked this on the following configuration:
– Asus PC as spec’ed in the Windows Configuration Guide (single 6-core processor)
– GTX 570 card (used for both GUI + CUDA GPU)
– Decklink SDI
– Red Epic 5K
– Optimized playback option enabled in the Video monitoringI can get 24fps playback at half-res. I do not have a Red Rocket card in the system, so just CPU based decode.
We will verify this again on the dual Intel E5 based Supermicro setup, but I don’t expect any issues.

Hold the Alt key and middle-mouse scroll.

Just select all the clips in the color page, apply your node graph grade from a still or memory. Alternatively, make a group and set an initial look, and then delete the group. Thirdly, you can try the track mode.

If you are on OSX 10.7.5, and if you have a ATI card, this is a known OpenCL bug in the ATI driver. The fix is to upgrade to OSX 10.8.2.

Yes Alt+middle mouse scroll.

I’m afraid not.
Which model of Mac Pro are you using?

It’s not about being retina aware. We are obviously retina aware and therefore can render to the 3840×2400 screen buffer. The non-aware apps gets pixel doubled, and if you look carefully you will notice this in the text and icons, etc.
Please make sure you are not running any other apps while running Resolve. GPU memory is very limited, and Safari, etc. use a fair amount of it leaving very little for Resolve.

%L is actually the reel name as set in the Project Settings. This is an error in the documentation, and we will fix it.
To fix your Alexa project, just enable the “Assist using reel numbers”, and set it to the last option which is the filename. This will give you what you are looking for.
