Yes, I created The Second Life of Jamie P a feature doc with more than 9TB of footage. FCP handled it okay, sort of, but too late I realized I should have used <b style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”>Proxy files which increase editing performance and take up considerably less storage space than optimized files.

FCP 7 is nothing like FCPX. I had a project that I needed to edit myself and my friend who helped design the original FCP convinced me to use it. She would be my guru on X.

Am I looking in the right place? Audio mode where Volume, Audio Enhancements Pan are located? Below Mode/Stereo is Effects. There’s a box that needs to be checked but it will not. And, No Effects Applied.

Or is there another place?

I can’t change my audio roles at all. Upon importing I can make them green. I’d like music to be one color, other audio another, but nothing works.

Now that I finally able to insert the solid, I realize I don’t know how to use a solid to cover a sliver in the middle of the frame, see the right image. The place that needs covering is the sliver that pops out of black between me – small image – and the food. Is this possible?

I have the same problem, except I’m cutting a short. When I use those shortcuts it jumps way towards the tail.
