Change Audio Roles FCP
Posted by Guy Crossman on June 25, 2021 at 2:59 pmI failed to assign the correct audio roles when I imported media.
If I now change them in the browser, they don’t show up changed in the timeline or indeed the XML. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks Guy

June 25, 2021 at 3:04 pmNo, that’s how it works. You’ll have to select and change the role of the clips in the timeline separately. You can select all the clips, right click and change the audio role in a batch pretty easily.

June 29, 2021 at 1:27 pmI can’t change my audio roles at all. Upon importing I can make them green. I’d like music to be one color, other audio another, but nothing works.

June 29, 2021 at 1:34 pmFirst you have to create new roles, then assign those roles to clips. You can edit the colors in the role editor (the same place you create new roles).
