    Hi Graham,
I like that tip except I’m not clear on it.
    1. Select the event on the timeline?
    2. What is the “square bracket”?

You know that tip you gave me Ctrl-? is really great for muting an event. It really comes in handy for me.

Put your second video on a track above the first one, then go to your “track motion” icon on the far left of your track. There you will be able to resize your second video so it will appear above the track below.

I wish Vegas would let me do a batch rename on events too.

  • Using Vegas to put in captions is hugely time consuming and almost impossible at best in my opinion.
John Rofrano has a captioning plug in called Caption Assistant that is great.

  • OK, .bak file.

  • Have you tried using your .bac backup file yet that Vegas creates?

  • Hi Graham,
I’m impressed anyone could make any sense of that. Nice work.

Thanks for your reply but what I’m puzzled about is the fact that when I flip the toggle between preset and A and B I get a message on the screen “cannot proceed”
The same thing happens when I toggle the Gain switch. I get the message “cannot proceed”

After you’ve done your time stretch on one do a ctrl C to copy and then just hightlight the others and do a “Paste event attribute” which can be found by right clicking the event and it will be a drop down.
You’ll still have to shorten them but the legth and speed will be there.
