    Hi Graham,
I like that tip except I’m not clear on it.
    1. Select the event on the timeline?
    2. What is the “square bracket”?

You know that tip you gave me Ctrl-? is really great for muting an event. It really comes in handy for me.

    [ and ]

In ten years of editing with Vegas I’ve never used the trimmer.

Vegas Pro 12 allows you to use Alt+[ and Alt+] to trim events on the timeline

Indeed… you can select start or end of event using brackets.. But you can’t trim it using keyboard? Only mouse?

    Aleksey,

I select an event, press Alt and the bracket and nothing happens

It works but not the way it might work. I wanted to automatically trim from left or right frame by frame by clicking a key.

I thought this was about trimming on the timeline and not in the trimmer. I’m like you… never used the trimmer in all my editing. So much easier to just slide the event on the timeline. If I want fine tuning I scroll my mouse wheel to get in closer before shortening the event.

[Grzegorz Kwiatkowski] ” I wanted to automatically trim from left or right frame by frame by clicking a key.”

    O…K….

Please explain further? However, using the the KeyPad 4 and 6 Key you can adjust by a “frame”.
