I’ve been working on this movie for two years and a part of it has been corrupt! I really don’t want to have to remake it all 🙁 I don’t know what the problem is, but I plugged in a microphone and it didn’t show up, so I closed sony vegas and when I opened it, it said “An error has occurred during the current operation. An exception has occured”

Looks like you have a callout to a MainConcept MP4 file/Event and that in turn is calling up a Mainconcept CODEC. Any chance you could isolate and remove that MP4? Or even replace it with a SONY MP4 render instead?

Just as a test “project”, try and remove that/those files and see what gives. Nasty.

Do you have any VST Audio plugs on the go? Maybe you need to rescan your VST folder/s?

    Hi Graham,
I’m impressed anyone could make any sense of that. Nice work.

Thanks Roger. But I maybe well off the Target here!

However, I know that that mcmp4plug.dll – that the mc part relates to MainConcept and mp4 is, well an MP4, and it says “plug”. There’s also an apparent choking on that “sfwbdmux.dll” and when I read “mux” anything I reach for my “Audio” Colt-45! Hence a rescan of the VST Folder for starters.

But all of this is predicated – I think – on the user’s usage of NOT VP12, but Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9.0 Version 9.0b (Build 92) which I know nothing about, and the ability a User has to track down through 9’s menus? Also, SONY has only Build 66, and our chum here has a Build 92. It’s odd that the Official Site has a Build “younger” than what is referred to in the ERROR report – Build 92. But that could mean that SONY’s Update/download site isn’t updated?!?

    Cheers

Ah, that plugging in of a Mic may provide more of an indication >> solution – that could also mean a clash of Audio and any CODEC clash with that MC thing.

Had you started in one build of VPS9 and then updated that build?

    Interesting . . .

Have you tried using your .bac backup file yet that Vegas creates?
