I have this happen all the time especially when I’m doing multi track editing…
The audio track is a white color and everything is synced. BUT then when I slide it to touch the event to the left, as soon as it hits that event the audio track turns pink indicating that it’s out of sync.
I’ve learned to live with it as the audio seems fine but it always worries me.
When I slide the event with the audio to the right again, it then turns white.
Anyone know what’s going on there?

Hi Kevin,
Thanks for the voice over offer. It’s much appreciated. Right now I use an old friend who was an anchor man for NBC and he does a great job. You can hear his big voice on my homepage https://www.paintingandtravel.com
He narrated that intro piece and does my promos for our Painting and Travel show.

I’m not getting it and I know it’s simple…
I’m wanting to create a text with for instance a black background where video shows through the lettering.

I do a “save as” as I go along with projects and usually end up with 8 or 10 veg files so if one goes terribly bad, I can go back and use my last good veg file. I always start a project with 001name.veg so I know the order. That will also put the veg file at the top of the list of files so they are easy to find.

Hi Phil or Jay,
With the EX3, how do you manage to get the right exposure when you adjust the iris and the only gauge you have is what you see in the viewfinder since the viewfinder can be adjusted for brightness and contrast?
Can you give me a few tips on this?

I thought this was about trimming on the timeline and not in the trimmer. I’m like you… never used the trimmer in all my editing. So much easier to just slide the event on the timeline. If I want fine tuning I scroll my mouse wheel to get in closer before shortening the event.
