Thanks Norman for the info. I don’t know why this stuff can’t be more standardized. I sometimes feel my head is going to explode just trying to keep up with all the formats and constant changes.
It’s a nuisance having to render to a different format and with the GoPro files it seems to take forever.

I do it all the time. I’ve opened the same project and rendered different parts of it simultaneously. It might depend of the speed of your computer as to your results but it’s OK to do that.

Why not just put the GoPro footage on the Vegas timeline and save it as an MXF file or something like that instead of using the GoPro studio site to do it?

I switch back between having ripple edit on and off so much I’ve added my own hot key for it which is the caps lock.

I’ve been flying a custom made quad for over a year but the camera gimble was never that steady and the shots were always a bit shaky so I couldn’t use all I shot.
I just purchased a DJI quad from Atlanta Hobby. They are fantastic about answering questions.
This is the one I got but the picture on that site is not correct as the camera and gimble are not the one pictured.
    https://www.atlantahobby.com/Store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=18034&idcategory=871

It comes with an 8″ monitor so I can see real time what the camera is seeing.
The most important part is the Zenmuse 3d 2h gimble. It’s lightning fast and produces absolute solid shots without gitter or movement from side to side or up and down.

The price of the gimble is lower that was was on that particular URL.

Feel free to call me if you like.

I tried the footage to match but no go.
I think I’ll just set the GoPro for 30fps.

NewBlue V6 has a plugin called “Picture Grid”. It comes with other plugins. I use it quite frequently.
