[Thomas Alberti] “The shortcut isn’t selecting the Time Remap property on my layers… any ideas? Thanks!”
it works for me. what exact version and exact OS do you have? does it happen with a different project and a different layer?
a preferences reset may be in order: https://blogs.adobe.com/kevinmonahan/2013/10/15/reset-after-effects-preferences/

after you “Convert to Bezier Path”, you need to assign the first vertex. more about first vertex here:

I see. that makes sense. I have seen Avid editors do this from time to time. let me ask you this: is this just for order’s sake? or when importing just the audio from a video file, Avid will take more time to import the audio part of that video than just an audio file? or create a large media file again from that file even though it just uses the audio?

November 28, 2016 at 12:40 am in reply to: Final render without continuous rasterizing of Illustrator images.[David Percevault] “Is the continuous rasterizing of Illustrator files in AE only for preview purposes?”
the only time you need to continuously rasterize an illustrator layer is when you want to scale it above 100% and not lose quality. (another case is for render order purposes but this is rarely the case). so if you don’t need to, leave it unchecked and save render time. if you need it to be on, it’s calculations are obviously taken into account when you render because Ae has to rasterize everything before it renders the frame.
