  • I use a good USB 2 cable (belkin). A full 4 gig card takes about 7 minutes or slightly less, but only if I copy the files individually ie; the lastclip.txt first. My transfer rates have been quite consistent. They are still lousey mostly due to not being firewire and the FAT32 to HFS transfer.

I use a Lacie 500gig FW800 drive as an archive.

If the ballpoint is too thick it sometimes does not work, try a paper clip and a gentle press the Copy Status lights should flash orange along with the HDD light, remove paper clip and press start.

    Sorry I can’t help further.

When sticking your pen in the recessed button, do you wait for the flashing orange lights before pressing start? Also I think you have to disconnect the USB before you can format.

  • You can’t have no audio. With regard to the P2 copying, copy the lastclip.txt file first followed by the contents folder, this should speed things up. Also check your USB2 connections. Make sure you don’t have any USB1 devices in same chain, may slow things down.

I get this on PSDs, but only where I have a soft shadow and the settings on High Quality YUV. I posted thsi on the Decklink Forum. They checked this out and found it was an Apple bug, so still no fix?

I also manifests itself on 3D Transitions.

  • You don’t say what deck it is but I use a DSR 1500 and got the same when working on 16:9. It was the wide mode info. I switch off the Wide Mode in the menu to OFF and it’s gone.

I am using the SPX800 and frequently have DVCPro 25 and 50 on the same cards. There is no problem with these mixed formats on the cards or store.
