I would urge you to fit one of these first, then ST7. It’s what I use and takes the strain off the very flimsy attachment on the camera. https://shop.dm-accessories.com/products/ex3-plate

Why downgrade to a Standard def lens? Although cheap the fitted lens is really excellent. Also the angle of view is much tighter on your suggested lens.

I know you mean Mac Pro when you say G5, easy to mix up considering they look almost identical!! I don’t believe you were asking for clarification on the name of your computer.

Are you using FX Factory? If so it is causing the problem. They have issued an upgrade to 2.01 which you will need to install. failing that just trash FX Factory and it should work.

I trashed everything. I have only recently switched from P2 to XDCAM so it was no loss to me.

I know this will not help but it has happened to me as you describe. It seems to have stopped now, and I have not got a clue why!!
The only thing I did was Uninstall and re-install the transfer software.

What is really annoying about this problem is the fact that if you use disk utility the Disc shows on the list as mounted! So why does it not appear in the finder!!!!!!

Did you uninstall the previous drivers before installing 6.6.1? Remember that you lose all your settings so check the control panel and reset all you FCP settings. I have just installed and it works perfectly.

How did you instal, I have downloaded, but just get installation failed. There does not seem to be an option to just instal the software without the FAM driver.
