XDCAM Transfer 2.0 is out
Sony did put XDCAM Transfer 2.0 on their ftp-server
ftp://ftp.sony.com
If using OS X, use an ftp program.User Name: storage
Password: NONE (e.g. leave blank)Select the folder: XDCAM – Optical Disk
Select the folder: Software
Select the folder: PDKZ-P1 for Mac-FCP Transfer
Select the folder: XDCAM Transfer Version 2.0I wasn’t able to do the default installation. The FAM driver wouldn’t update. So I did the special installation (FAM driver update disabled) instead. As far as I can see the software works fine.
At first glance XCDAM Transfer 2.0 is niecer to look at, it gives more information and lets you sort clips in many ways. It’s also easier to import subclips.
In the preferences pane you’re able to disable the proxy import (I like that one!), add the diskname to the file name (I did this before with an automator script) and only import the monitored audio channels (very handy).
