Sounds to me like may just simply had some sort of filter active in your event, text or otherwise. This of course resets itself with a restart.

Motion is not an NLE. Transitions don’t make much sense in the context of how it’s meant to be used. Motion is ironically the place where you in fact MAKE transitions. For use in FCP.

Similar thing. Motion is not a grading app. You would generally do that after importing whatever it is into FCP or send everything to Resolve or the likes when it’s all finished. Both of which of course have scopes.

Then you might want to look into Slice and/or TrackX: https://www.coremelt.com/reviews/news/160-trackx-bundles-upgrades-and-tips.html then you wouldn’t need either AE nor Motion.

Are you sure you have the most recent version? Have you checked? That’s the only issue I’m aware of with PE: too old and it doesn’t understand the most recent version of FCPXML.

There’s no way of exporting an H.264 without recompressing. It’s a Long GOP format. Simply use a high data-rate. Any of the “Apple Devices” presets should be fine.

You route will be a PATH, right? You could simply duplicate it, attach the camera to it and adjust as needed.
