May 2, 2009 at 3:59 pm in reply to: Trying to get markers to return to main menu

    Dave,

I dont think thats what im looking for. Unless you know a way to set end action on individual chapter markers in a video. I only know how to do that to an entire video file. Im doing weddings and home movie transfers. When i have a multiple chapter scene selection, say 10 for example, i need to know if there is a way to select one chapter of that scene selection and when it hits the chapter marker for the next chapter it goes back to the selection menu, instead of just play all subsuquent chapters in that media file. Is there a way to do that? Would I need to render all chapter as individual files to do that?

    Thanks

    Rick

    John

    Thanks, I finally got it.

    Now another question.

Can you make the highlight on a link or video delay in showing its self for a few seconds after that menu page is showing? Let me explain

I have introduction media playing on my DVD, when it finishes it goes to my main menu. I wanted to have my menu title on the left side of the screen, and the have 3 menu selections on the right side of the screen, I wanted them to fade in 1 at a time. but currently as soon as the page displays the highlight underline ( what im using ) is displayed before the text displaying the choices. Can you delay that highlight?

March 19, 2009 at 1:32 am in reply to: Menu Transistions

    John,
Sorry I know Im being thick about this. But……

I have a main menu on the DVD that has 3 seperate videos on it.
I set the end action-destination of one of them to my transistion media. I then set my end-action destination of the transistion media to point at the video for that button. When I preview and hit the button of that video it just plays the video without the trasistion media and then plays the transistion media after the video? What am I doing wrong? Any ideas?

The footage is Mini DV, shot with a Sony DSR PD170, good footage.

    Main Concept MPEG2

    VBR, 1 pass

Project footage was only 10 minutes

    Rendering thewm in Vegas.

Any hints would be greatly appreciated. I am no expert so If you know better ways to do this, please feel free to steer me in the right dirtection.
