so there isn’t an application out there in which you can specifiy in/out times like vidcap 6 – – for HD???
(hdvslpit doesn’t do it either)

personally – i prefer to take my audio and edit a master file outside of vegas ie sonar, cubase, etc render your master audio file and pull into vegas.
vegas is only so-so for audio imo better off processing it in your favorite audio application

if you haven’t done this yet . . .
cam positions: if 3 cams use 1 always on lead singer, stage right and stage left, if you have a 4th then far stage/crowd shots.
audio: as mentioned check w/venue & sound guy to get feeds to multitrack the audio.
also instead of trying to switch/edit on the fly collect asll the footage/audio and edit/mix in post.

personally, i think it’s best to edit your audio w/o running vegas or by launching via vegas.
just my preference.

on a whim i tried connecting another sony trv-70 i had kicking around i no longer use because there is something wrong w/tape drive (error 31:23 when yu try to play a tape)
anyhoo – that one WORKED.
i tried another trv140 camera i have – and it worked too.
so then i tried the vx2100 – yup – works now.
so what happened w/the 1394 cable slipping out disconnecting w/one of my trv-70 cameras that it will no longer detect, and in addition one of my trv140 cameras not detecting now either?
is there something in memory somewhere locking them out for some reason? i don’t get it.

I output a EDL from VEGAS 7 and FCP 5 could not/would not load it. nor aaf either jsut tried that.
