    Hi Nate,
The Medea storage forum would now be incorporated into the Avid VideoRaid forum. Storage is ever changing with new technologies being introduced all the time. Currently, the Avid VideoRaid would be the next step up from the Medea RTRX. Look for Avid Technologies to notify the video communities of any new video stroage products as they become available.

    Hi,
As mentioned, there are many storage solutions for backing up data. As Medea storage arrays had accomodated these needs in the past, the same local storage arrays are available from AVID Technology at the same great price with the same great support.

  • Hi,
To better troubleshoot, what is the exact model number of the Medea unit? What is the firmware you are running on the Medea? What is the Atto scsi controller model and driver Atto verified was installed? What slot is the Scsi controller in? Have you been in Hyperterminal on a PC with the Null modem cable to troubleshoot? Let me know to help resolve.

  • Hi,
At this point, we would want to rule out the Medea hardware as the cause. There is a utility built into the Medea firmware to troubleshoot using the Null modem cable and a PC. Please call me at 818 880 0303 ext 122 or email me your phone number and best time to call to richard_campbell@avid.com.
