As you using a Blackmagic sequence preset?

I’ve just noticed your using CS3, perhaps that option is not there in that version. In CS5.5 you just right click (on PC) the asset in the project panel and it gives you the ‘replace footage’ option.

Don’t replace the clip in the timeline, use replace footage in the project panel. This, I think, should keep to edits the same. You do not import the new footage just follow the replace footage dialogue.

Just start the work area bar 5 seconds before the start of the programme and this will be the start time for the export.

Start a new sequence and when the settings dialogue comes up click on the ‘tracks’ tab and select 5.1 as the master. Copy and paste your project over.

I had the same problem rendering a BluRay, turning off the hardware acceleration fixed it, but it took 27hrs to export.

I create a AE project and leave it open. I find any clip I then link from Premiere starts a new compostion in the same AE project.
