CS2 supports 16 bit layered files
Red and Green is moire pattern (optical illusion) be sure it is showing up on broadcast monitor
Reduce range in gradient (vdeo is not as good at large range then film)
16bc will help, even if going back to 8bc eventually… but more problems will re-occurr

Modify the gradient to containe opacit in the gradient editor (double click its thumbnail and adjust opacity control points).
Then… create shape layer… load it as a selction… and apply it as a mask to the gradient layer

Flatten gradient and add noise to it…
also… work in 10 bit space in video and create 16 bit graphics
