If you are planning a DVC PRO out put to tape , its better to go with DVCPRO settings. DV settings is also fine, but if you dont ahve any space problem better go for DVC PRO

u can use other s/w like Edius, or Adobe Pro for capture native HDV

Do you changed ur FCP version?. If not, Please delete ur render folder files and try( But u have to re render ur all files again)

Yes it make sence. its better to transfer from 23.98 to 25P for the PAL users in a motion smooth environement.

try recapturing that clip only

i wont prefer work with HDV material in a External Drive. Try with ur internal Haddisks

check ur cards propertires. there is an option to remove bar & Tones

Try capture in mono mode. Un lock ur sterio mode in capture window.

Controll pannel set for SDI 8 bit out.
Eassy setup is also 8 bit uncompressed.
