it depends on what version of photoshop you are using… if you have cs2 you can use the new vanishing point filter…

but if you dont have cs2, you can just rasterize the text (right click on the text layer at the layers pallete and choose rasterize) and then transform it (crtl+t).. during transform, right click on the text and select “distort”… then just drag each corner of the transform box to line up with the corners of the LCD… and it should be in perfect perspective…(sorry, its easier to do it then it is to describe it…)

just remember that once rasterized the text can no longer be edited…and it will no longer be vector based so scalling it up will make you lose resolution.

hope it helps, let us know if you have any trouble

    kind regards

if you choose your layer before you click on record I dont understand why it would be naming it layer 10..it should be naming it current layer… you are probably selecting the layer during record and that adds the entry “choose layer 10”

forgive me if this is not the case, and if you can please explain how you are creating your action so we can better help you.

    kind regards

its hard to tell what kind of look you are going for without some specific examples…but this may give you some ideas…

    https://www.toolfarm.com/tutorials/wakinglife.html

its pretty old but it tries to create the same look they had on the movie waking life, using only standard plugins. it obviously doesnt look as good as the rotoscoping techniques used in the movie but its a start…

You can use the Pen tool to draw your selection. Simple click gives you a linear path, and clicling+holding+dragging the point you added will give you bezier controls. You can use the “convert point tool” if you decide you need to change a point to linear or bezier. You can also use the Path Selection Tool (black arrow above the Pen tool) to move the entire path or you can use the Direct Selection Tool (white arrow) to fine tune each point individually. After you finish making the path, just click on the “Load path as selection” button, located at the bottom of the Paths tab and it will turn your path into a selection mask.

Hope this makes sense, and sorry if you already know most of this stuff..
    good luck
