I am not sure, but to quote the phothoshop users manual: “Flattening reduces file size by merging all visible layers into the background and discarding hidden layers. Any transparent areas that remain are filled with white.”
So I am guessing no, you cant change it…but I hope someone posts a solution..
good luck

Hello,
The answer to your first question is pretty simple.. Place all the palletes in the position you want them to stay, then go to window > workspace > save workspace. Make sure pallete location is selected, give it a name (ie. dual monitor) and click ok.
If you change the position of the palletes and want to get them back to this setup just go to window > workspace and choose the workspace you saved from the list.
Your other question you already answered. Its a personal thing and I doubt it that anyone can give you suggestions on where to place the palletes.. Just give some time to be used to the 2 monitors and you will find a good position for things based on what palletes you use the most..
hope this helps

Hello,
You can create a pattern for this effect. Make a new document 4 px tall and 1 px wide. (width dont really matter since you want horizontal lines).. make a 2 px tall selection on the bottom part of the canvas and fill the selection with black. invert the selection and fill the top half with white. Go to select > select all, and then go to edit > define pattern…
Then go back to the composition you are creating, make a new layer on top of the layer stack, and use the paint bucket tool to fill the layer with a pattern…choose the pattern you just created. Fill the new layer with this new pattern and you will see black and white scan lines. Change the blend mode of the layer (to something like overlay or soft light), play with the transparency of the layer if needed and that should do the trick
hope it helps

is it possible to see a screenshot of the image you are trying to use? might make it easier to point out what the problem is. Either that or I hope someone else brings you a solution..
good luck

there was a user on the cow after fx forum that created a ntsc safe pallete for sampling color when creating graphics for video.
I have a copy of the file if you are interested. Just let me know where to email it.
