Drag the layer to the new psd, and before you release the mouse button, press and hold the shift key, and it will keep the original position.

sorry…I didnt know you could flip it there..nice tip, thanks

first of all dont worry so much, its not a long question nor is it a dumb one…it can happen to anyone..
few things you could try: (sorry but I am just trying to give you some ideas, some of them may not work at all and I dont have photoshop on my PC to test it for you)
a) on photoshop go to file > open recent > companyname.com should be there somewhere..hopefully (I assume you already tried FILE > OPEN but doenst hurt to try)
b) are you familiar with DOS language? you could try to rename the file on a dos prompt..could work.. “copy companyname.com companyname.psd” (on the right directory) – might give you a different result then renaming it on windows
c) if you have a mac around, try opening it on the mac
d) if you want to send me a copy of the file I can try to convert to psd for you on my mac or on DOS..just send it to 420master@gmail.com
hope someone else will bring a solution in case none of this works.. good luck
kind regards

hello,
the problem with jpg and batch is that you need to create an action for it to work. its quite simple tho..
from what I understand you already have a folder with the tif files.. open one of those files on photoshop and go to the actions pallete. With the image opened, click on the create new action, give it a name, and it will start to record automatically…
Go to file > save as and choose jpg, and choose the folder where you have the tif files. save the image without changing the name of the file.. then go to file > close.
then click the stop button on the action pallete. You should have only 2 steps on the action. “Save” and “Close”…
Then go to file > automate > batch.. on the batch options windows:
===================
Play options:Set: Default actions set (this is the set where you kept the action you just recorded)
Action: choose the action that you just recorded from the list..if you dont see it, you are in the wrong action set..===================
Source options:Source: Folder (then click on choose and find the folder with the tif files)
you can leave all the other options unchecked.. make sure you leave “override action open commands” unchecked..you are going to run the batch on a folder, not on already opened files
===================
Destination Options:Destination type: Folder (then click on choose again and selected the same folder with the tif files)
then make sure you check the “Override Action Save As Commands”
“File naming” should be left as is to get the result you described.. (just leave with the “Document name” on the first field and “extension” on the second field)
===================
Errors options:Here is where you can choose a path for the log file in case you run into errors during the batch..
then just click OK to run the action and thats it…
let us know if you have any problems..good luck

hello
you could paint one eye on a new layer, then duplicate the layer and flip it horizontaly (edit > transform > flip horizontal)
then if you need to resize it just scale it using edit > transform > scale. (If you hold shift while draging you will scale while keeping the original proportion).
or…you could create a second brush.. specially if you plan to use this fliped brush again… use the method above to flip your original and then use the fliped version to create a new brush.. and you will have the right and the left eye as brushes for future use. the advantage is that you can scale the brush as you do with regular brushes, without the need to keep using transform > scale. (just make sure you dont uprez it or you will lose quality)
hope this helps, sorry if you already know most of this
good luck

first make your custom pallete active, then on the wing menu of the swatch pallete select “preset manager”
then just click and hold the swatches to drag them around..click on save set and that should do it

Excellent script Filip… I am sure its gonna help save tons of time.. I just tested it and it worked perfectly..
My only question.. can you suggest a good way to find out a track’s bpm on a mac? I know its probably a dumb question but any ideas are welcome..
thanks a lot for the script, happy 2006
