I’ve had these problems since AE 4.5 : 1- My Hard drives get fragmented when using video files and sequences. 2- AE crashes when using Sound files on big projects.

I’m on Win2k and have loads of RAM. a good video card and have always updated all my drivers, quicktime and service packs. – (A Dell Work Station)
    so why????

Very, Very often…. Too often, cause I have to.
I use Executive Software Diskeeper to defrag. It’s a neat little App.

Ditching win2k in favour of XP might be a good idea in this case 🙂
