I did this only the other week using the old Hollywood FX – 39 frames I used – they slid in and then out.

And if you’re going to digibeta don’t bother with Procoder either. Pay a little extra and do a proper standards conversion.
I assume if you’re going to digibeta you intend to broadcast. Even a Procoder conversion won’t pass the test in PAL land.

Try reverting to the original drivers – my FX540 won’t work with the latest drivers.

Did you overwrite a previous recording on this tape?
This is a common problem when reusing tapes.

August 13, 2006 at 7:46 am in reply to: Can xray at airport damage video tape?

Unlikely, I go through Xray’s once or twice a week (local and international) and have never suffered any damage to tapes.
If it’s not a tape defect it could be any magnetic field you encountered on the trip, seen or unseen.

Jeff, what sort of additional info is contained in VOB files? I’ve converted thousands over the years and never struck any anomolies. I’ve run into additional Vob’s for motion menus but nothing unusual.

What screen resolution did you use to capture with Camtasia? This often effects the quality of the AVI.

The nVidia FX540 and the upper FX range plus the Matrox triple head card are the only ones I’m aware of that allow this configuration. It’s a combination of hardware and the driver.
