I think you could get it using mograph and thinking particles. Then play with the both TP/Mograph effectors./randy

That happened to me when I has too many fonts installed in my font book. I have around 100 now and it works fine.

There is a plug in for that at http://www.3dattack.us (I would have linked but the site wont load for me)
Or you can render the scene twice and composite.

You want to use belts.
I created a starter file here:
https://www.randyarchy.com/tear.c4d.zip*All I did was create two cubes with the same amount of subdivides as the plane I used for the cloth.
*Then I key framed the cubes to pull apart.
*After that I added a belt tag for the top and selected both the cloth and top cube. I dragged the “top cube into “belt on” section of the belt tag. Selected the points I wanted to connect and pressed set in the belt tag. (did this again for the bottom.)
*Dropped the plane into a Cloth Nurbs (MUST do for tearing to work)
Then I selected all the polys on the plane and “set vertex weight”(selection menu) then i painted where I wanted the rip.To make this text just add a texture with the text and an alpha channel.
There is a very good explaination of how cloth works in the help file too.
Hope it gets you started/randy

October 2, 2008 at 5:04 am in reply to: Hose between 2 objects: point me in the right directionHere is another option. It is the second part of the series. You dont need to watch the first but its pretty good for learning the range mapper. If i had to pick just one tutorial as an introduction to xpresso this would be it.
https://www.c4dcafe.com/ipb/index.php?autocom=downloads&showfile=125in short you use an expression to hold the point to a null. And then you control the null with xpresso too. I used this method to swing a light fixture just yesterday.

This really depends how much detail you need. The way you described sounds is perfect for super high detail but may be a little over kill. I cannot remember all the features in 8.5 but a relief object with a bitmap could be a more direct approach for the terrain. I think I would rely on textures for the paths and such going down the hill.
Hope this helps./Randy
