    Hi Morten,

I strongly agree with Peter. If you have everything on only your system drive, it slows it down. If your system crashes, everything goes with it. Don’t take that chance. I have vegas on my system drive and my footage on my Maxtor 500G external drive. It works for me 🙂

    Hi Gary & Mike,

Your right Mike, I’m always trying to find a way to get myself in trouble with Vegas. Thanks to Gary, Ed, yourself (Mike) and the rest of the Fantasic Cow Experts throughout the world, I have you to bail me out :). Yes, that was the problem. I had the use external video capture unchecked. While watching Gary’s Fantasic Vegas 6 Companion DVD’s, by accident I unchecked that external video capture.

    Thanks again guys, 🙂

  • Hi Ruby,

I’m glad I’m not the only one having this problem with the Canon GL2. I use Maxell DV tapes all the time. I had this problem after I had my heads cleaned from Canon. I was filming a Bridal Shower and was getting spikes in the audio and didn’t no why. When I downloaded into Vegas 6, I found pixelated artifaxes on certain frames throughout the tape. So I had to zoom into that frame and cut out that frame. I used Sound Forge 7 for getting rid of that spiking sound problem. It took a long time for this project. Now I’m afraid to use tapes. Thinking about going digital, but it cost so much money.

    Best of Luck!

  • Jay,

I have to commend you on a Fantasic Job you did putting this together. The message was clearly stated and if I was the CEO, I’d take a mop and start cleaning the staff, permanently. I have to say I never have taken a cruise with them and after what I’ve seen, you know what the answer is. I’ve been cruising for many years, I just like the older crowd, strictly R&R. I don’t want to sound old, but I go strictly for service, itinerary and older crowds. This allows me to concentrate on my videography and pictures I’ve taked for the day.
    Many Happy Travels Ahead!
Here’s a Boooooo! for you know who!
    Here’s a Moooooooooo! for Jay.

    GREAT JOB JAY!

  • Hi Gary,

I clicked onto THIS THREAD, but nothing happens, at least from what I see. It doesn’t take the reader the thread. If it’s the thread that I think it is, go to the August 14th thread on Gary’s AMD machine.

    Happy Belated Thanksgiving!

    Peabody,

You select entire timeline footage by clicking onto the 1st event, hold down the shift key and select the last event. Your whole timeline is selected. Go to edit > switches and check Interlace Flicker.
You got it! Isn’t Vegas amazing?

    HI All,

Gary, I was referring to NAB in Las Vegas, but I think I’m a little early. I just like to plan ahead.
It sounds like I touched on something here that I maybe should have not.
