    Hi Tom,

speaking for all: we like it clean and simple. Creating a good smooth speedramp in final cut with the graph is time consuming. Do you have a simple nice idea?

This has nothing to do with the processor.
The aja goes in FW 400 ? Do you have another FW 400 device attached?
Did you do a clean install on your System?
Are your Audio Video settings correct?
    System settings checked?

according to specs, yes. There was an interesting article in the cow regarding FCS 2. You need at least 4GB ram.

The P2 card reader with a HD attached from Panasonic costs more, than a whole laptop.

    Hi,

don’t use firewire connection they are unreliable!
You need a laptop and double backup the content on two seperate drives.

    Hi,

normally the camera assistant runs it. The best thing is, to have enough cards to cover one days shooting.
Always double back up on two seperate HD’s, make shure you don’t copy one contents folder double and leave another not copied.
I make one copy of the original contents folder on one HD, on the other I import the P2 files via FCP.

3 years work experience with P2 without one lost file.

    Hi,

anyway, I work for three years on P2 now. It is a perfect system. You need a laptop, and two HD with a FW 400 or FW 800 connection.
Always double back-up. There are FW 400’s whose powersupply comes through the computer (very handy).
On one HD you save the contents folder. On the other I import the P2 files in FCP.

    regards
