If all the images has the same center point (0,0):
– Change the center for the first still (120,0).
– Then click on the still and “Copy” (Cmd-C).
– Select all the stills on the sequence and LEFT-Click > Paste Attributes > Basic Motion.
All the stills will get the new center point.[Bret Williams] “Assuming you want to keep them in tact as a sequence, just nest them, then adjust the nest position.”
That don’t work. You will get a black band on one side.

I think you don’t have much clear the concept of Scratch Disk.
The Scratch Disk is where FC writes certain stuff (including captures and Log&transfer) files, but is not necessarily your “media HD”.

When you change the scratch disk you set the disc which FC will use from that moment and whatever project you open, old or new, will use that Scratch disk till you set a new one.
If you want to move media from one disk to another, just drag and drop the folders where your media resides trying to keep the same folders structure.
Once you have transferred the media, if you want a project to use the media on the new HD, switch off the old HD, open the project and use the emerging window to reconnect the media files. Once FC has retrieved the files, save the project. so FC won’t look again for these files on the old HD.

Don’t worry about what that window say.
720×576 and 1024×576 is the same frame but made out of different pixels, the first PAL-Anamorphic, the second Squared. Any projector should be able to display both without problem.
Anyway, if they asked you 1024×576, do that.
Use QT and export 1024×576.

Sure, that will look perfect on your computer, but is not standard DV.
If the movie will be reedited with other DV stuff, broadcasted or used for a DVD, it wont pass.
AND DON”T USE DVCPRO, that’s a completely different codec.
Use Apple DV PAL.

That’s just about the “Thumbnails”. FC haven’t refreshed them.
I guess that if you delete them, FC will make a new set.
You can also save the project with a new name.

You are right, 444 talks about Chroma sampling/downsampling, so that’s only applicable when talking about YUV (YCbCr) formats, never to RGB stuff. In RGB can not be “Chroma downsampling”, professional RGB is always 444.

Is codec free (pure uncompressed and unprocessed RGB), but not “format free”.
Cameras that shoot RAW uses different formats.
Some cameras shoots RAW as stills and may record “.dns” (Canon, BlackMagic), or “.RW2” (PANASONIC).
Other cameras like the Alexa or the RED ONE shoot RAW video (Arriraw or RED Code RAW).
No one of those formats are directly supported by QT/FC.
You will need to convert the stuff.HOWEVER, if you are getting QT files, and for the data rate of your footage (184MB/s = 1.4Gbps) your stuff could possibly be “AJA 10b RGB”.
If so, installing the AJA KONA drivers (aja.com) you get the codec installed and you should be able to open the files on FC.
BUT, FC can not process in 10bRGB, so you should convert these files to Prores444 or Prores HQ, and edit on a Prores444/HQ in FC.
BUT, another issue, you are in FC.6, so no Prores444 available for you, so when you can open the files you need to convert them to Prores HQ or edit them on a Prores HQ sequence.

If you are working at 25fps you are in PAL lands.
NTSC is 720×480 (DV formats), or 720×486.

Open the file in QT (even if doesn’t open), and open the Info window.
See what “Format” say.
If the Super-8 file has been transferred on a PC based system, you may need to go back to a PC and convert them to something readable on your Mac.

Pal DV is 720×576.
The only problem is that QT do not display other than Squared pixels and the picture looks distorted.
So if the picture is to be displayed on computers, is OK that you make 1024×576, but if you have been asked standard DV, leave it at 720×576.
The picture will be properly displayed when interpreted as PAL DV Anamorphic.
