So which is the footage original size?
DVDS are 720×480 (NTSC pixels), or 720×576 (PAL pixels).

That’s exactly what your footage is: XDCAM-HD 422/50Mbps.No reason to convert to Prores unless you intend to edit with many layers.
Edit native and before exporting change the sequence settings to Prores (422 or HQ) and “Render in High Precision”.

Your first post sounded to me that you were using some kind of not supported footage (H264, MP4,..), but if your HD is switching off, that sounds to problems with the HD (power supply?).
If I was you, I wouldn’t waist my time and I would ask LaCie for a new HD.

That sounds to an authoring error.
Try to play the files inside the disc.

If is a graphic, I understand it should be on a codec that supports Alpha channel.
Prores only supports Alpha on Prores444. Prores LT do not support Alpha.

I guess you are talking about “Anamorphic”.
Don’t touch that, it will distort the picture.

That’s the way. Use Apple 10b Uncompressed, and render with the higher bit depth and quality option in any application you process.

I have AME but have never explored much the options.
I’ve never been requested for MXF files.
