    Drive missing

    Hi

    FCP 7.0.3. I just logged and transferred a bunch of footage. I was just starting to rename some clips and assess what I have when the drive went missing. It is a brand new 3tb Lacie drive. When I reassigned the drive in system settings it was there again. This has happened a couple times.
    Here is the clincher. Right after I reassigned the drive I began having trouble viewing footage in the source window. Check my previous post.

    Your first post sounded to me that you were using some kind of not supported footage (H264, MP4,..), but if your HD is switching off, that sounds to problems with the HD (power supply?).
    If I was you, I wouldn’t waist my time and I would ask LaCie for a new HD.
