From which machine are you trying to capture?

I think it shouldn’t be any problem. AJA and BM just digitallice using the very DVCPRO50 codec. As long as I know they havent developed their own DV50 codec.

Hi Saddler,
The QT MPG2 Export Component will give you even less choices for exporting MPG2 that Compressor. You can only export standard NTSC and PAL. With Cleaner you can set the size of your MPG2 out of those standard.

i can not tell you much about the pixelation because I do not work with AVI files, but you started with a codec that work in the YCbCr color space and you convert it in other that work in RGB. when possible try to keep in the same color space to avoid problems. Exporting in Millions+ you dont gonna get more quality than in Millions. The only difference is that Millions+ support Alpha Channel,, so you should use it only when your film have such channel.

Yes there are the two kind of adapters and more. Think if you have two VGA how do you conect them without the inexpensives Apple adapters?
Have you open the System Preferences/ Displays and have you click the “Detect Displays”? Set as well the “Show Displays in the Menu Bar”. Then click the small screen in the menu bar and in Number of Recent Items set 10. May work.

Keep journaled the disks where you’ve got a system installed. The rest you can disable the journalling.

There is not any techtnicall reason for getting any difference in the picture whether you make a batch capture or a Capture Now. As Walter says, just arrange the clips in a time-line keeping the same settings whichs you have captured. Just print to video. As long as you don’t go to render the clips, they will be not re-compressd so you will get exactly what you had in your original tape but with a new Time Code.

This that happens to me a couple of times that i used cheap (SONY Premium) tapes. If you Print to Video the clips that you “Capture Now” the desk will generate a fresh TC.

This is normall to happens with interlaced clips, because if you shift the possition of the clip a uneven number of pixels you are stting the odd lines of the clip on top of the even ones of your sequence, and the evens on top of the odds so they are miss readed. But shouldn’t happens with progresive stuff.
