I’ve just shot a DV tape and am trying to log & capture in Fianl Cut pro and I keep getting the message that there are dropped frames. The capture then aborts. I know it is set to abort but if I change that option then the vidio and audio get out of sync. I have successfully captured video/audio previoulsy. What, if any (many), setting(s) need to be changed to stop this?

I first attmpted to use an external drive connected via FireWire. I thought that might be the problem so I moved the scratch disk to the internal drive on my eMac. Same problem

It’s not recommended that you capture to internal drives as you can get the errors you are gettting at the moment.

How full is the disk and how full is your firewire disk?
