The workflow I used:
Import the wav files in a multichannel session of Audition.
Export as one interleaved 6-channel wave file
Import the interleaved file in Premiere Pro 2 or 3
Create an empty surround track in the timeline and put the interleaved file on this track.
Export the sound for the DVD as follows: File>Export>Adobe Media Encoder
Export settings: MPEG2, export video not selected, export audio selected.
Audio tab: Dolby digital, codec: surcode for dolby digital
(You can use surcode 3 times for free.)
The 5.1 audiotrack will be converted to an AC-3 surround file for DVD.
Add this file to the MPEG2 video in Adobe Encore DVD.Good luck

You can avoid this in the future by making a wire connection in the microphon plug between the connections for left and right.

Hi Neil,
This is the method I use for frame hold:
Make a still of the last frame of the clip.
Put this still on the timeline behind the last frame and correct the lenght of the still.
To avoid flickering of the still: select the still in the timeline and then clip>video options>field options and select flicker removal.Good luck

This is a workflow within Premiere I never used.
I’m sorry that I have not the time to test it.
But if you are OK with the surround sound played from the timeline I think you can convert it with the Surcode plug in.
Because I don’t expect more surround projects soon, I did not purchase the license. I have only one more opportunity.Good luck

If I understand your question correct, the animated background is not changing but the titles.
When you change exsisting titles you have to click first on the T symbol in the upper left corner of the title window. Then you have to give a new name for the new title and than you can change the title. If you use this workflow the old title remains the same under the old title name.Good luck

If you have to edit mpeg use Adobe Premiere Elements.

Set the soundtracks as loud as possible. Make a keyframe in both soundtracks where you estimate the correct match is.
Enlarge the timeline as much as possible and move one track to put both keyframes exact above each other.
Listen to both tracks. If there is an echo sync is not perfect. By trial and error move one track frame by frame untill the echo disappears.Good luck

Cutting out the parts on the timeline with the razor tool and close the gaps with ripple delete.
When you are ready export the timeline as one file.Good luck
