I am having trouble with the frame hold function in Premiere CS3. I have used it routinely to extend motion graphic clips in past versions of the program, but when I use it in CS3 a rendered clip(avi) and NTSC preview of the frame hold look awful. The held frame noticeably blurs and distorts.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi Neil,
This is the method I use for frame hold:
Make a still of the last frame of the clip.
Put this still on the timeline behind the last frame and correct the lenght of the still.
To avoid flickering of the still: select the still in the timeline and then clip>video options>field options and select flicker removal.

    Good luck

    Thanks for the response Phocas.

That is the way I will have to do it from now on.

But, I do wonder why I would have to change my method from CS2 to CS3.
