What format is the media file.. and I guess you have matched the project.
What happens if you split the audio off and copy to another track, muting the first instance?
Also.. have you loaded any third party codecs?

I tend to go with Bob’s approach… dump the clip on the timeline, slice at in and out points of each section you want and delete the unwanted bits. I fully agree with Steve’s point too, but its horses for courses and in your case I don’t think it would have the complexity of Steve’s projects.
If you did have a busy timeline, you could dump the clip at the end and do your surgery there, and pull the selections back into place.
The wonderful thing about Vegas is it is so malleable. I had to give a colleague some help with Premier the other day and walked away shuddering.Windows 7 Pro64, 16GB RAM, SSD boot drive, GTX 570 Graphics, Vegas Pro 11 and VP10 just in case

How far from the camera is the mic when it drops out? Also what environment is the problem occurring? The Sony mic isn’t a bad mic, so it makes me wonder if something else id causing your problem. Are you using good batteries… is the receiving antenna clear, Is the mic antenna/cable in good condition. Things to check before shelling out $$$

So you can camp outside the shop and be first in the door at midnight to buy the latest offering. What a thrill!!

That’s a weird one, Steve. If the file is playing at normal video speed, and the audio is sped up… then the audio would finish before the video part of the file. If it happened to say, an hour long clip, then it would have to strip the audio and play that at one speed and the video at another. Gee… I’d like to figure how that happens!

October 25, 2012 at 12:51 am in reply to: Getting Behringer BCF2000 fader control to work with VP11I get the feeling I should have bought a Mackie at the outset. Pity.. the unit looks good on the edit desk and the moving faders would keep the clients amused. 🙂

October 24, 2012 at 5:15 am in reply to: Getting Behringer BCF2000 fader control to work with VP11I have the same unit, with the same results. Didn’t get a lot of help from Behringer either. HAve you downloaded and installed the latest 64 bit usb driver etc? The web site leaves a bit to be explained. There is a white paper explaining the setup, but obviously I must have read it upside down.
All that said… it would be good to compare notes, and now I have seen your posting, I will have another go on VP12.

I agree with Steve.. pro titler is anything but pro. Even the resident geek here dumped it ages ago. AE is the way to go.
