I’ve noticed that there is a Soundsoad that costs $99 and one that costs $450. Which one are we talking about here?

Ok, so which one, Sony Noise Reduction or SoundSoap?
I’m going to need one or the other?

Thanks a lot for your two answer.
I’ve checked Sony Noise Reduction and I need to ask, are you sure there’s a tool/option to remove hums and hisses?

Soundsoap sounds great since it’s more than twice as cheap as Sony Noise Reduction.

What do you think about Sound Forge 9? Overkill for what I need?
    Thanks

I’m totally happy with Vegas. I was just observing that when somebody wants to hire an editor they ask most of the time for FCP and sometimes AVID, actually. But as far as the application, I wouldn’t try to edit my film on anything else than Vegas. It’s powerful, intuitive, nothing’s missing. I just want the application to get the recognition it deserves. You know what? Some answers made me think. SOmebody suggested that we change the world one job at a time, well, that’s exactly what’ I’m going to try to do. I’m going to show prospective employer my work done on Vegas and if they like me, they can talk to me, if not, since I don’t need to be an editor to make a living, they can take a hike. I’ll stay with Vegas and will totally refuse to pay three time for a mac what I’ve paid to build my PC.

I calibrated my DELL 2407 WFP-HC to match what my Pro SD Sony monitor displays once properly calibrated using the bars from the camera.
I’m displaying the footage from the cam on the SD display following the procedure mentioned above.

Would you say I’m all set to do color correction?

By the way, in my project setting when I set the settings in “project settings” should I choose 23,976 (IVTC FILM) or 24(FILM)?
    Thanks
