I’m still using Squeeze with no complaints. I assume I may continue to use my copy after Sept 1.
May I have recommendations for replacement……. preferably free or inexpensive?
Thanks.

Thanks Michael.
The other option is AMA. That makes original dates and times visible. But as we know, there are issues with AMA, especially when exporting timeline. Let’s all continuing lobbying with Avid.

Thanks all.
This afternoon I visited the North American headquarter of EVS about 15 minutes from my house with a disc of files. A couple of very good guys (Nick and Brandon) scratched their heads a bit and then figured out how to make it work.
It turns out that the Atom version with the multiple audio files confused Mr. Avid. So the solution was to create a directory with the Avid Mediafiles and MXF and 1 directories, and then copy the files into the 1 directory. Then use media tool to move the files into a bin.
You’ll never find that in the Avid help file!
This was a very big and very expensive show. I can sleep tonight. Whew.

Chris,
I went back to a driver dated December 2012. The latest driver just didn’t work and I needed to get the work.

Thanks Erik.
I tried a driver released last December and all is working well now. What a surprise that the latest driver won’t support Avid’s latest release.
I’ll check latest drive in a few weeks.

I still have a problem. AMA works well for me. But I must need a codec that I can’t find. (And the files may have been shot with something other than a 5D…. I didn’t shoot.)
It is identified as a quicktime file. Audio plays fine. Video is just a white screen. This appears to be a DVCPro file and I think I have the DVCPro codec on the machine. But all I get is a white screen.
However, VLC player will show me the video very successfully.
Any idea what I’m missing or where I can find it?
Thanks.

I figured it out. Another program I installed a little while ago had changed my audio input settings. Things are OK.
Thanks.
