try running it through soundtrack, bitcrusher etc

Forget FXScript & AE filters
Concentrate on FXPlug. FXFactory will be released soon and with this you can ‘roll your own’ plugins using Quartz Composer.Expect up to a 5 times speed bump when doing things like blurs. Its cool, trust me 🙂

Make sure you are not field rendering or have motion blur – that completely s***s the animation codec up.
A quick check is to grab the icon off the Motion bar, shift tab to FCP then drop it on the timeline or into a bin.

highlight all the tiffs
right click whilst hovering over the anamorphic column, change to yes.2 operations opposed to 112 clicks

I’ve got the ATI card in my 3G Dual Core Mac Pro and have not experienced any problems with 10.4.8
At the moment I’m only running with 2G of ram though.Ram & fibrechannel card on the shopping list

I’ve been talking to Gen Arts about the problen and Karl kindly sent me ths:-
Indeed, it doesn’t look like Apple is going to include AE plug-in
support for Motion on Mac Intel. FX Plugs seems like a fine
alternative but this is a whole different plug-in API that requires
development efforts to support. We do expect this port to be
worthwhile, but have not announced any specific plan or release
schedule for it.Peter
