Has any one written there own plugins for FCP? I know Apple has the FXplug API and FCP takes AE plugins. I can’t find any info on the net about FCP and writing plugins. Does any one here know of a site or can point me in the write direction.

Right click on just about any plug in and you can pull up a text editor and see the code. this is like the View Source in Safari. Also, Petes Plugins are a bunch of homegrown plugs….might go to his site and shoot him an email. Also search Google for Too Much Too Soon and he has a bunch of free plugs.

Not exactly what you asked, but since these guys are “growing their own” they might be a resource.

    Forget FXScript & AE filters
Concentrate on FXPlug. FXFactory will be released soon and with this you can ‘roll your own’ plugins using Quartz Composer.

Expect up to a 5 times speed bump when doing things like blurs. Its cool, trust me 🙂
